ARCHANGEL by shimz is committed to ensuring that archangelbymz.com(the “Site”) is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of disability, assistive technology used, or the method by which the Site is accessed. We believe that access to luxury jewellery and the experience of our brand should be available to everyone.
We have a legal duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that disabled persons are not placed at a substantial disadvantage in accessing our services compared to non-disabled persons. This statement sets out the steps we have taken and our ongoing efforts to meet that duty.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is widely recognised as the international standard for web accessibility and addresses the needs of people with a broad range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning and neurological disabilities.
Partially Conformant
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, as described in Section 3 below.
We are actively working to address known issues and improve our conformance. This statement will be updated as improvements are made. We most recently reviewed our Site's accessibility on .
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility across the Site, we are aware of the following limitations. We are working to resolve these issues as swiftly as possible.
Third-Party Embedded Content
WCAG 2.1 — 1.1.1 Non-text Content (Level A); 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A)
Some third-party content embedded on the Site — including certain social media feeds, interactive maps and payment provider iframes — may not be fully accessible. This content is provided by external parties and is outside our direct control. We have raised accessibility requirements with our suppliers and will replace or remove third-party content that cannot be made accessible.
Status: In progress — targeting resolution Q3 2025
Product Photography Alt Text
WCAG 2.1 — 1.1.1 Non-text Content (Level A)
A small number of older product images may have missing or insufficiently descriptive alternative text. We are conducting a systematic review of all product images to ensure meaningful alternative text is provided for every image.
Status: In progress — estimated completion Q2 2025
Video Content
WCAG 2.1 — 1.2.2 Captions (Prerecorded) (Level A); 1.2.3 Audio Description (Level A)
Some video content on the Site may not currently include closed captions or audio descriptions. We are adding captions to all new video content and reviewing existing video assets. In the interim, text transcripts are available on request.
Status: In progress — all new content captioned from January 2025
Colour Contrast on Certain UI Elements
WCAG 2.1 — 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) (Level AA)
Some secondary text elements and placeholder text within form fields may not meet the required 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their background in all colour themes. We are reviewing and updating colour assignments in our design system.
Status: Under review
PDF Documents
WCAG 2.1 — 4.1.1 Parsing (Level A); 1.3.1 Info and Relationships (Level A)
Certain downloadable PDF documents (such as care guides and certificates of authenticity) may not be fully tagged for screen reader compatibility. We are working to produce accessible PDF versions. Please contact us if you require any document in an alternative accessible format.
Status: Accessible versions available on request

The Equality Act 2010 protects disabled people from discrimination in access to goods, facilities and services. If you contact us with an accessibility concern and are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to seek further assistance or to pursue a complaint through the following routes:
Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS)
The EASS provides free, independent advice and support to people who have experienced discrimination. They can advise you on your rights under the Equality Act 2010 and help you explore options for resolution, including mediation and legal action.
Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)
The EHRC is the statutory body responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in Great Britain. In limited circumstances, the EHRC may take action directly in respect of systemic failures to comply with equality law.
Legal Action
You may also have the right to bring a claim in the county court (in England & Wales) under the Equality Act 2010. We strongly encourage you to contact us and/or the EASS first, as many issues can be resolved without recourse to legal proceedings.
